As a school we have purposefully planned 33 stimulating events linked to our curriculum that
our children will experience during their time at St Pius. These educational visits
will enable our children to apply their learned knowledge in a new context.

Every pupil at St Pius X will experience:

1. Visiting local landmarks
2. Performing in front of an audience
3. Visiting a city
4. Writing a song
5. Joining a school club
6. Visiting the theatre
7. Leading a liturgy
8. Visiting a cathedral
9. Learning a new language
10. Visiting the seaside
11. Eating a lemon-top ice-cream
12. Visiting a farm
13. Toasting marshmallows on a fire
14. Visiting a professional sporting event
15. Taking a train ride
16. Taking a boat ride
17. Climbing a hill
18. Abseiling and orienteering
19. Feeling sand between your toes
20. Sleeping at least one night away with your class
21. Reading a book to a younger child
22. Have a speaking part in a play
23. Competing and collaborating in inter-house activities
24. Holding a position of responsibility within school
25. Taking part in a celebration for another faith/culture
26. Having a piece of artwork for all to see
27. Having your voice listened to and influence decision making
28. Eating a meal in a restaurant
29. Cooking a meal for someone in your family
30. Growing, cooking and eating a vegetable
31. Discovering our own local history/heritage
32. Reciting your own poem
