Godly play

In our prayer room classes share a weekly Godly play session. Godly Play, uses a method founded by Jerome Berryman and based on the theory of children discovering God for themselves. Godly Play is based on long established, tried and tested approaches, using symbols and objects as well as words and encourages people to make meaning for themselves. It invites listeners into stories and encourages them to connect the stories with personal experience. Godly play has a liturgical structure, we gather in a circle, share a story, respond through questions and in various creative ways and come together to share a final prayer and blessing.
