A very warm welcome to St Pius X Primary school, where children and Christ are at the heart of all we do. As a school family we strive to live out our vision statement, “To provide an outstanding Catholic education with Christ as our light.” All members of our school are valued and thrive personally and socially in a positive culture of care, honesty and community.
Pope Francis believes that schools should be “educating communities”. This, he said, means uniting students and teachers in mutual sharing through “a curriculum of life and experience.” At St Pius we aim to make learning memorable, purposeful and fun. We aim to provide the children with a wide range of rich, first-hand learning experiences, which exploit the educational opportunities in Middlesbrough and beyond. Ultimately equipping the children for the next stage in their learning and enabling them to be the best that they can be: whatever their talents.
Together, with our children’s families, the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust and other agencies, we have created a learning climate of improvement. This is underpinned by high expectations of every learner (adult and child), mutual respect and collective responsibility.
This is an exciting stage in the development of St Pius X school and we hope you will take a few moments to explore our website and get a flavour of our school community.
